Yes, he is a diving lover, that's obvious, insn't it ? -) Now, here is Yann Richard
First a little description : Yann is connected since March, 1997. A veteran of the net !
With his poet soul, he has given us wonderful answers, its up to you to judge now.

Who are you, in a few words ?
I've always been a Space lover, the Intouchable, and I've realised one of my dream with the
diving : flying into an other Universe, meeting new forms of life, wonderful or hostile, it is
impossible to be indiferrent about them. Between two dives, I go back to the reality where I'm a pharmacist and where, with some firends, we manage to find the time to go running together (we have run in the Paris-Versailles race,...) with the only goal to have a good time. I also love walking in woods and fields searching mushrooms, to know more about them (in this case, I melt my job and my hobby), and to taste them with friends.
There's one more thing in my (full of hobbies) life, Computers. I started when I was 16 (my first computer was the very famous ZX-81). The Internet and
my web site, dedicated to the dive also take me a lot of time !

If I was a web site ?
I would be free, the other side of the mirror of the ocean to show to a maximum of people what the seas hide.

I would be a bird, to fly into an other world.

If I was an applet : a remote control to watch all the TVchannels at the same time and to see everything.

How long have you been connected on the Internet ?
Many things have changed since the wonderful ZX-81. I have had an Amstrad, then, a 286 and a 486, and a Pentium 166 now. It was time for me to be connected. I have tried many other providers, and a friend of mine, juldan (his pseudo), have talked to me about Infonie. A few days later, I was surfing on the net, and a few months later, my web site was on line.
I've been connected since March, 1997.

What are your favourite web sites ?
Two of my favourites, are News sites : the AFP et CNN; Octopus is also very interesting : it is web site dedicated to the dive and it is in French !

Your aguments to convince your friends to connect themselves ?
First, I'd talk to them about all the facilities offered by this new way of communication. It is easy to search something, and these technologies keep on evolving and improving. You live in town or in the campaign ? No problem, you know as well as the others what's happening in the world and you pay the cost of a local communication. It is also possible to create your own web site, in order to be known by the rest of the world !

Honestly, I have to say that I've been very surpised to be contacted so quickly to be the "Infonien" of the month. A very good surprise. Technics keep on evolving, so I think that my desire concerning computers are not as utopic as I could have thought : - I think about calling through the net, video-communication...
